RETIREMENT HORSES
Our pension horses are just as important to us as our own horses and all other animals,
who are all part of the family for us
Our company stands and lives for a friendly and transparent cooperation, for us communication is the be-all and end-all in every interpersonal relationship or business relationship
We want to be comfortable with each other and like to go to our barn to do our work
Getting to know each other personally is very important to us to see if we can find each other
Talking openly and honestly about everything is the motto
We have grown together with our pension horse owners and customers into a friendly, loving, funny, sociable and helpful community, mutual consideration and appreciation is very important. We are very grateful. Of course we would like to preserve this great community for each of us
Nobody is bullied, there are no know-it-alls, each of our pension horse owners likes to come to our stable and spend HIS TIME WITH HIS HORSE there, relaxed and in peace
We always try to adapt our form of husbandry to the needs of the horses - and even if this is often contradictory - their owners. We optimize our movement areas and our operations as much and as often as possible.
Despite everything, the well-being of the animals is our top priority - before the needs of the owners
We keep our domesticated horses in "captivity" with us, so it's only fair that we focus on the needs of our horses rather than our own human needs. Due to the attitude in human care and care, we are actually obliged to do this in the truest sense
If you now ask us why, the explanation is very simple:
The horse is kept 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year in a horse farm or in other forms of husbandry.
Usually a good 22.5 hours a day without the owner being present. We therefore feel it is fair that every horse is given the opportunity to enjoy social contact with its peers and as much free exercise as possible during this time,
to be able to fulfill at least a small part of their natural needs
We have designed our business for the well-being of the horses and therefore do not offer an exclusive "chic imicki" sports stable with solitary confinement
With us you will not find pure stalls, no single paddocks, no horse walker, no treadmill and no solarium
With us, the horses are allowed to move freely outside in the herd, which is separated according to gender, all day long (at least 12 hours) on mostly fixed, mud-free herd paddocks and only come into their boxes at night
In order to be able to work with your horse, a riding arena measuring 20x40 is always available
With 24h hay, the horses can choose when they eat, how long they eat and how much they eat
It is important to us that our horses can exercise enough in winter and don't have to hold back in terms of exercise during the "dirty months".
That's why we don't have very large summer pastures, but mostly all-weather areas that are available to the horses all year round
To protect against wind and weather, a round arch hall, a pasture tent and a shelter were integrated
Depending on the weather - i.e. if the soil allows it (or actually always in summer) - the summer pasture areas connected to the herd paddocks are also open
Alternatively, there will soon be the possibility to house your horse in our "open stable".
The horses are outside 24/7 in a small herd and are taken care of either by us or optionally by the owner himself
We are currently working on the implementation of this
We do everything we can to keep the usual fluctuations that a pension company entails as low as possible and to maintain an orderly and balanced structure in our herds
As a company, we want to avoid ranking discussions as much as possible. With each new horse to be integrated, the entire ranking is redefined. No horse behaves the same (or as usual) in every company or home. Difficulties in integration can usually be assessed and foreseen
Therefore, we always ask our adjusters in spe to reflect before the horse moves in and to give us accurate and accurate information about the behavior and possible abnormalities of the horse or significant incidents or problems from the past during previous keeping.
This is for everyone's benefit - and also to avoid the horse being moved again due to miscommunication or untrue information (e.g. regarding a known high ranking).
With us, the integration of a new horse is always done carefully and never too hastily. Because we also have our home at our farm and stable at the same time, we can observe around the clock how our horses perceive each other or how they behave in the herd or when integrating with the new horse - of course also how each other the new horse behaves with visual and olfactory contact with the existing herd
After a sufficient period of acclimatization and thus sufficient opportunity for assessment, we carry out an integration almost exclusively on a large area in order to give the horses the opportunity to avoid each other if they feel uncomfortable
